God’s Compass for the Heart and Mind

Proverbs 3:7-12

Following the Lord’s directions will change behavior and challenge our thinking, attitudes, and desires. He leads us to think differently about ourselves, our values, and and even the difficulties facing us.
We naturally want to determine our own course in life.It seems like the only logical way to get where we want to go. But being wise in our own eyes is pride. To combat this tendency, the Lord instructs us to fear Him and turn away from evil (v. 7). This “fear” is not a horrified dread of the Father, but an attitude of respect that motivates us to obey Him for both our good and His glory.

We naturally want to keep our money for ourselves. A desire for a better lifestyle or fear of not having enough leads us to hang onto everything we get. But our compass directs us to honor God by giving Him the first part of all we have, trusting Him to provide for our needs (vv. 9-10).

We naturally hate God’s discipline. His painful reproofs seem to prove that He doesn’t care about us. But our heavenly Father says His discipline is the evidence that confirms His love and delight in us as His children (vv. 11-12).

Sometimes in our desire to follow the Lord, we focus on obedient actions—doing what He says—but miss His directions concerning our attitudes and thought patterns. To stay on God’s path for our lives, we must make course corrections not only in our behavior but also in our hearts and minds.

ఆయన ఒక్కడే మహాశ్చర్యకార్యములు చేయువాడు ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
తన జ్ఞానముచేత ఆయన ఆకాశమును కలుగజేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ఆయన భూమిని నీళ్లమీద పరచినవాడు ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ఆయన గొప్ప జ్యోతులను నిర్మించినవాడు ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
పగటి నేలుటకు ఆయన సూర్యుని చేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
రాత్రి నేలుటకు ఆయన చంద్రుని నక్షత్రములను చేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ఐగుప్తుదేశపు తొలిచూలులను ఆయన హతము చేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 వారి మధ్యనుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఆయన రప్పిం చెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
  చేయి చాచి తన బాహుబలముచేత వారిని రప్పించెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమును ఆయన పాయలుగా చీల్చెను. ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను దాని నడుమ దాటిపో జేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ఫరోను అతని సైన్యమును ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రములో ఆయన ముంచివేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 అరణ్యమార్గమున ఆయన తన ప్రజలను తోడుకొని వచ్చెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 గొప్ప రాజులను ఆయన హతముచేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
ప్రసిద్ధినొందిన రాజులను ఆయన హతముచేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
అమోరీయుల రాజైన సీహోనును ఆయన హతము చేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
బాషాను రాజైన ఓగును ఆయన హతము చేసెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
  ఆయన వారి దేశమును మనకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా అప్ప గించెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 తన సేవకుడైన ఇశ్రాయేలునకు దానిని స్వాస్థ్యముగా అప్పగించెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
 మనము దీనదశలోనున్నప్పుడు ఆయన మనలను జ్ఞాప కము చేసికొనెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
మన శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి మనలను విడిపించెను ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
సమస్త జీవులకును ఆయన ఆహారమిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.
  ఆకాశమందుండు దేవునికి కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లిం చుడి ఆయన కృప నిరంతరముండును.

3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
    For His mercy endures forever:
4 To Him who alone does great wonders,
    For His mercy endures forever;
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
    For His mercy endures forever;
6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
    For His mercy endures forever;
7 To Him who made great lights,
    For His mercy endures forever—
8 The sun to rule by day,

యెహోవా తనకొరకు యాకోబును ఏర్పరచుకొనెను తనకు స్వకీయధనముగా ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏర్పరచు కొనెను.
యెహోవా గొప్పవాడనియు మన ప్రభువు సమస్త దేవతలకంటె గొప్పవాడనియు నేనెరుగుదును.
ఆకాశమందును భూమియందును సముద్రములయందును మహాసముద్రములన్నిటి యందును ఆయన తనకిష్టమైనదంతయు జరిగించువాడు
భూదిగంతములనుండి ఆవిరి లేవజేయువాడు ఆయనే. వాన కురియునట్లు మెరుపు పుట్టించువాడు ఆయనే తన నిధులలోనుండి గాలిని ఆయన బయలువెళ్లజేయును.
ఐగుప్తులో మనుష్యుల తొలిచూలులను పశువుల తొలి చూలులను ఆయన హతముచేసెను.
ఐగుప్తూ, నీ మధ్యను ఫరోయెదుటను అతని ఉద్యో గస్థుల యెదుటను ఆయనే సూచకక్రియలను మహత్కార్యములను జరి గించెను.
అనేకులైన అన్యజనులను బలిష్ఠులైన రాజులను ఆయన హతము చేసినవాడు.
 అమోరీయుల రాజైన ఓగును హతముచేసెను కనాను రాజ్యములన్నిటిని పాడుచేసెను.
ఆయన వారి దేశమును స్వాస్థ్యముగాను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులైన తన ప్రజలకు స్వాస్థ్యముగాను అప్పగించెను.
యెహోవా, నీ నామము నిత్యము నిలుచును యెహోవా, నీ జ్ఞాపకార్థమైన నామము తరతరము లుండును.  (:3-13)

ఆత్మీయ అభ్యాసములు:
 యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడి యెహోవా నామమును స్తుతించుడి యెహోవా సేవకులారా,
యెహోవా మందిరములో మన దేవుని మందిరపు ఆవరణములలో నిలుచుండు వారలారా, యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడి.
 యెహోవా దయాళుడు యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడి ఆయన నామమును కీర్తించుడి అది మనోహరము. (:1-3)
ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశీయులారా, యెహోవాను సన్ను తించుడి అహరోను వంశీయులారా, యెహోవాను సన్ను తించుడి
లేవి వంశీయులారా, యెహోవాను సన్నుతించుడి యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులుగలవారలారా, యెహోవాను సన్నుతించుడి. (:19,20)

విగ్రహములు, వాటిని ఆరాధించువారు:
 అన్యజనుల విగ్రహములు వెండి బంగారువి అవి మనుష్యుల చేతిపనులు.
వాటికి నోరుండియు పలుకవు కన్నులుండియు చూడవు
చెవులుండియు వినవు వాటి నోళ్లలో ఊపిరి లేశమైన లేదు.
వాటినిచేయువారును వాటియందు నమి్మకయుంచు వారందరును వాటితో సమానులగుదురు. (:15-18)

Praise to God in Creation and Redemption (Notes from Psalm 135)

Deeds and description of God:
The Lord is good (:3)
The Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself,
Israel for His special treasure. (:4)
5 ...The Lord is great,
And our Lord is above all gods.
6 Whatever the Lord pleases He does,
In heaven and in earth,
In the seas and in all deep places.
7 He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
He makes lightning for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His treasuries.
8 He destroyed the firstborn of Egypt,
Both of man and beast.
9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt,
Upon Pharaoh and all his servants.
10 He defeated many nations
And slew mighty kings—
11 Sihon king of the Amorites,
Og king of Bashan,
And all the kingdoms of Canaan—

Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself,

19 Bless the Lord, O house of Israel!
Bless the Lord, O house of Aaron!
20 Bless the Lord, O house of Levi!
You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord!

Idols and idolaters:
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.
16 They have mouths, but they do not speak;
Eyes they have, but they do not see;
17 They have ears, but they do not hear;
Nor is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Those who make them are like them;
So is everyone who trusts in them.

యెహోవాను సన్నుతించుడి (కీర్తనలు 134)

ఆత్మీయ అభ్యాసములు:
 యెహోవా సేవకులారా, యెహోవా మందిరములో రాత్రి నిలుచుండువార లారా, మీరందరు యెహోవాను సన్నుతించుడి.
పరిశుద్ధస్థలమువైపు మీ చేతులెత్తి యెహోవాను సన్ను తించుడి. (:1,2)

ఆశీర్వాదము:
భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించిన యెహోవా సీయో నులోనుండి నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించును గాక. (:3)

All you servants of the Lord,
Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,
