Multitudes of God's Mercies (Notes from Psalm 106:24-48)

Deeds of God:
           He raised His hand in an oath against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness, to overthrow their descendants among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.(:26,27)
          the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, so that He abhorred His own inheritance. and He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, (:40,41)
          Many times He delivered them;(:43)
          Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, when He heard their cry;
          and for their sake He remembered His covenant,
          and relented according to the multitude of His mercies.
          He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them away captive. (:44-46)

Failures of Israelites: 
             they despised the pleasant land;
             they did not believe His word,
             But complained in their tents,
             and did not heed the voice of the Lord.(:24,25)
             They joined themselves also to Baal of Peor,
            And ate sacrifices made to the dead.
             thus they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, (:28,29)
            They angered Him also at the waters of strife,[b]
            So that it went ill with Moses on account of them;
            Because they rebelled against His Spirit  (:32,33)
            They did not destroy the peoples, concerning whom the Lord had commanded them,
            But they mingled with the Gentiles
            And learned their works;
            They served their idols, which became a snare to them.
            They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,
            And shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
           And the land was polluted with blood.
           Thus they were defiled by their own works,
           and played the harlot by their own deeds.(:34-39)
         

Prayer :
       Save us, O Lord our God,
       And gather us from among the Gentiles,
       to give thanks to Your holy name,
       to triumph in Your praise. (:47)

Phinehas  a good example to follow:
          they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, and the plague broke out among them.
         Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was stopped.
         And that was accounted to him for righteousness to all generations forevermore. (:29-31)

యెహోవా నన్ను జ్ఞాపక మునకు తెచ్చుకొనుము (కీర్తనలు 106:1-23 నుండి ధ్యానము)

దేవుని గూర్చిన వర్ణన:
             యెహోవా దయాళుడు, ఆయన కృప నిత్యముండును. (:1) రక్షకుడైన దేవుడు (:22)
దేవుని క్రియలు:
            అయినను తన మహా పరాక్రమమును ప్రసిద్ధి చేయు టకై ఆయన తన నామమునుబట్టి వారిని రక్షించెను.
           ఆయన ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమును గద్దింపగా అది ఆరిపోయెను
           మైదానముమీద నడుచునట్లు వారిని అగాధజలము లలో నడిపించెను.
          వారి పగవారి చేతిలోనుండి వారిని రక్షించెను
          శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి వారిని విమోచించెను. (:8-10)
          వారు కోరినది ఆయన వారికిచ్చెను అయినను వారి ప్రాణములకు ఆయన క్షీణత కలుగ జేసెను.  (:15)
          ఐగుప్తులో గొప్ప కార్యములను హాముదేశములో ఆశ్చర్యకార్యములను
       ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద భయము పుట్టించు క్రియలను చేసిన తమ రక్షకుడైన దేవుడు (:21,22

)

ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజల వైఫల్యాలు:
             మా పితరులవలెనే మేము పాపము చేసితిమి దోషములు కట్టుకొని భక్తిహీనులమైతిమి
             ఐగుప్తులో మా పితరులు నీ అద్భుతములను గ్రహింపక యుండిరి
             నీ కృపాబాహుళ్యమును జ్ఞాపకమునకు తెచ్చుకొనక యుండిరి
             సముద్రమునొద్ద ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద వారు తిరుగు బాటు చేసిరి.  (:6,7)
              అయినను వారు ఆయన కార్యములను వెంటనే మరచి పోయిరి
              ఆయన ఆలోచనకొరకు కనిపెట్టుకొనకపోయిరి.
             అరణ్యములో వారు బహుగా ఆశించిరి ఎడారిలో దేవుని శోధించిరి  (:13,14)
             వారు తమ దండు పాళెములో మోషేయందును యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితుడైన అహరోనునందును అసూయపడిరి (16)
           
              హోరేబులో వారు దూడను చేయించుకొనిరి. పోతపోసిన విగ్రహమునకు నమస్కారము చేసిరి
             తమ మహిమాస్పదమును గడ్డిమేయు ఎద్దు రూపము నకు మార్చిరి.
            ఐగుప్తులో గొప్ప కార్యములను హాముదేశములో ఆశ్చర్యకార్యములను  ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమునొద్ద భయము పుట్టించు క్రియలను చేసిన తమ రక్షకుడైన దేవుని మరచిపోయిరి. (:19-22)
           
ఆత్మీయ అభ్యాసములు:   
            యెహోవాను స్తుతించుడి యెహోవా దయాళుడు
            ఆయనకు కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించుడి ఆయన కృప నిత్యముండును.
           యెహోవా పరాక్రమకార్యములను ఎవడు వర్ణింప గలడు?
           ఆయన కీర్తి యంతటిని ఎవడు ప్రకటింపగలడు?
           న్యాయము ననుసరించువారు ఎల్లవేళల నీతి ననుసరించి నడుచుకొనువారు ధన్యులు. (:1-3)
          అయితే ఆయన వారిని నశింపజేయకుండునట్లు ఆయన కోపము చల్లార్చుటకై ఆయన ఏర్పరచుకొనిన మోషే ఆయన సన్నిధిని నిలిచి అడ్డుపడెను  (:23)
     

ప్రార్థన:

               యెహోవా, నీవు ఏర్పరచుకొనినవారి క్షేమము నేను చూచుచు 

                నీ జనులకు కలుగు సంతోషమునుబట్టి నేను సంతో షించుచు 

               నీ స్వాస్థ్యమైనవారితో కూడి కొనియాడునట్లు 

               నీ ప్రజలయందు నీకున్న దయచొప్పున నన్ను జ్ఞాపక మునకు తెచ్చుకొనుము 

              నాకు దర్శనమిచ్చి నన్ను రక్షింపుము. (4,5)

       

    

Remember me Lord! (Notes from Psalm 106:1-23)

Description of God:
             He is good,  His mercy endures forever (:1), Savior (:21)

Deeds of God :
           He saved them for His name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power known.
           He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up;
           so He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
           He saved them from the hand of him who hated them,
           and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. (:8-10)
           He gave them their request,
           But sent leanness into their soul. (:15)
           done great things in Egypt,
           Wondrous works in the land of Ham,
           Awesome things by the Red Sea.(21,22)

Failures of Israelites:      
          We have sinned with our fathers,
          We have committed iniquity,
          We have done wickedly.
          Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders;
          They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies,
          But rebelled by the sea—the Red Sea. (:6,7)
          They soon forgot His works;
          They did not wait for His counsel,
          But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness,
          And tested God in the desert. (:13,14)
          envy (:16)
          They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped the molded image.
          Thus they changed their glory into the image of an ox that eats grass.
          They forgot God their Savior, (:19-21)
         
Godly practices:
            give thanks to the Lord (:1)
            utter the mighty acts of the Lord
            declare all His praise (:2)
            keep justice
            do righteousness all times (:3)
            stood before Him in the breach(like Moses), to turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them. (:23)

Prayer:
            Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people.
            Oh, visit me with Your salvation,
            That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones,
            That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation,
            That I may glory with Your inheritance. (:4,5)

యెహోవాను వెదకుడి (కీర్తనలు 105 నుండి ధ్యానము)

దేవుని గూర్చిన వర్ణన:
             ఆశ్చర్యకరుడు, పరిశుద్ధుడు, న్యాయాధిపతి (2,3,6)
దేవుని క్రియలు:
          ఆయన తీర్పులు భూమియందంతట జరుగుచున్నవి.
          తాను సెలవిచ్చిన మాటను వెయ్యి తరములవరకు అబ్రాహాముతో తాను చేసిన నింబధనను
          ఇస్సాకుతో తాను చేసిన ప్రమాణమును నిత్యము ఆయన జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనును.    
          వారి సంఖ్య కొద్దిగా నుండగను ఆ కొద్ది మంది ఆ దేశమందు పరదేశులై యుండగను
          కొలవబడిన స్వాస్థ్యముగా కనానుదేశమును మీకిచ్చెదనని ఆయన సెలవిచ్చెను
         ఆ మాట యాకోబునకు కట్టడగాను ఇశ్రాయేలునకు నిత్య నిబంధనగాను స్థిరపరచి యున్నాడు. (:7-12)
          నేనభిషేకించినవారిని ముట్టకూడదనియు నా ప్రవక్తలకు కీడుచేయకూడదనియు ఆయన ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి  (:14)
         దేశముమీదికి ఆయన కరవు రప్పించెను జీవనాధారమైన ధాన్యమంతయు కొట్టివేసెను.
         వారికంటె ముందుగా ఆయన యొకని పంపెను. యోసేపు దాసుడుగా అమ్మబడెను.(:16,17)
         అతడు చెప్పిన సంగతి నెరవేరువరకు యెహోవా వాక్కు అతని పరిశోధించుచుండెను.(:19)
         ఆయన తన ప్రజలకు బహు సంతానవృద్ధి కలుగ జేసెను వారి విరోధులకంటె వారికి అధికబలము దయచేసెను.
          తన ప్రజలను పగజేయునట్లును తన సేవకులయెడల కుయుక్తిగా నడచునట్లును ఆయన వారి హృదయములను త్రిప్పెను.
         ఆయన తన సేవకుడైన మోషేను తాను ఏర్పరచుకొనిన అహరోనును పంపెను. (:24-26)

         అక్కడనుండి తన జనులను వెండి బంగారములతో ఆయన రప్పించెను వారి గోత్రములలో నిస్సత్తువచేత తొట్రిల్లు వాడొక్క డైనను లేకపోయెను.
         వారివలన ఐగుప్తీయులకు భయము పుట్టెను వారు బయలు వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తీయులు సంతోషించిరి
         వారికి చాటుగా నుండుటకై ఆయన మేఘమును కల్పించెను రాత్రి వెలుగిచ్చుటకై అగ్నిని కలుగజేసెను.
         వారు మనవి చేయగా ఆయన పూరేళ్లను రప్పించెను. ఆకాశములోనుండి ఆహారమునిచ్చి వారిని తృప్తి పరచెను.
        బండను చీల్చగా నీళ్లు ఉబికి వచ్చెను ఎడారులలో అవి యేరులై పారెను.
        ఏలయనగా ఆయన తన పరిశుద్ధ వాగ్దానమును తనసేవకుడైన అబ్రాహామును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొని
        ఆయన తన ప్రజలను సంతోషముతోను తాను ఏర్పరచుకొనినవారిని ఉత్సాహధ్వనితోను వెలు పలికి రప్పించెను.
         అన్యజనుల భూములను ఆయన వారికప్పగించెను జనముల కష్టార్జితమును వారు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనిరి. (:37-45)

ఆత్మీయ అభ్యాసములు:

               యెహోవాకు కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించుడి 

               ఆయన నామమును ప్రకటన చేయుడి 

               జనములలో ఆయన కార్యములను తెలియచేయుడి. 

               ఆయననుగూర్చి పాడుడి ఆయనను కీర్తించుడి 

              ఆయన ఆశ్చర్య కార్యములన్నిటినిగూర్చి సంభాషణ చేయుడి 

               ఆయన పరిశుద్ధ నామమునుబట్టి అతిశయించుడి. 

               యెహోవాను వెదకువారు హృదయమందు సంతో షించుదురుగాక. 

               యెహోవాను వెదకుడి ఆయన బలమును వెదకుడి ఆయన సన్నిధిని నిత్యము వెదకుడి 

                ఆయన దాసుడైన అబ్రాహాము వంశస్థులారా ఆయన యేర్పరచుకొనిన యాకోబు సంతతివారలారా ఆయన చేసిన ఆశ్చర్య కార్యములను జ్ఞాపకము చేసి కొనుడి (:1-5)

                 తన కట్టడలను గైకొనునడి 

               తన ధర్మశాస్త్రవిధులను ఆచరించుడి (:44,45)

Seek the Lord (Notes from Psalm 105)

God described as :
            Holy God, Strong, Marvelous, Wonderful, Judge (:3-5,7)

God's deeds :
           His judgments are in all the earth.
           He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac,
          And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
             Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance,”  when they were few in number, indeed very few, and strangers in it. (:7-12)
                    (Lots of wonderful truths to meditate)

            He permitted no one to do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, (:14)
            Moreover He called for a famine in the land;
            He destroyed all the provision of bread.
            He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave. (:16,17)
            The word of the Lord tested him (:19)
            He increased His people greatly, and made them stronger than their enemies.
            He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
            He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen. (24-26)
            (We find some more deeds of God in v28-36)
            He also brought them out with silver and gold,
            And there was none feeble among His tribes.
            Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
            He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
            The people asked, and He brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
            He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it ran in the dry places like a river.
            For He remembered His holy promise, and Abraham His servant.
           He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness.
           He gave them the lands of the Gentiles,(:37-44)

Godly practices :
          give thanks to the Lord!
          Call upon His name;
          Make known His deeds among the peoples!
          Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
          Talk of all His wondrous works!
          Glory in His holy name;
          Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
          Seek the Lord and His strength;
          Seek His face evermore!
          Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,(:1-5)
           observe His statutes and keep His laws.(:45)

దేవునికి ఇంపైన ధ్యానము (కీర్తనలు 104 నుండి ధ్యానము)

దేవునిగూర్చిన వర్ణన:
             అధిక ఘనతవహించిన దేవుడు, మహాత్మ్యమును ప్రభావమును ధరించియున్న దేవుడు, వెలుగు, సృష్టికర్త, జ్ఞానము మహిమగల దేవుడు (:1,2, 24,31)
 
దేవుని కార్యములు:
               యెహోవా, నా దేవా నీవు అధిక ఘనతవహించిన వాడవు నీవు మహాత్మ్యమును ప్రభావమును ధరించియున్నావు.
              వస్త్రమువలె వెలుగును నీవు కప్పుకొనియున్నావు. తెరను పరచినట్టు ఆకాశవిశాలమును నీవు పరచి యున్నావు.
              జలములలో ఆయన తన గదుల దూలములను వేసి యున్నాడు. మేఘములను తనకు వాహనముగా చేసికొని గాలి రెక్కలమీద గమనము చేయుచున్నాడు
              వాయువులను తనకు దూతలుగాను అగ్నిజ్వాలలను2 తనకు పరిచారకులుగాను ఆయన చేసి కొనియున్నాడు. (1-4)

            యెహోవా, నీ కార్యములు ఎన్నెన్ని విధములుగా నున్నవి! జ్ఞానముచేత నీవు వాటన్నిటిని నిర్మించితివి నీవు కలుగజేసినవాటితో భూమి నిండియున్నది. (:24)


మంచి నిర్ణయము:
                 నా జీవితకాలమంతయు నేను యెహోవాకు కీర్తనలు పాడెదను
                 నేనున్నంత కాలము నా దేవుని కీర్తించెదను.
                ఆయననుగూర్చిన నా ధ్యానము ఆయనకు ఇంపుగా నుండునుగాక
                 నేను యెహోవాయందు సంతోషించెదను. (:33,34)

         

         

Sweet meditation (Notes from Psalm 104)

God described as :
            Very Great, Honourable, Majestic, Light, Creator, Wise, Glorious (:1,2,24,31)

Deeds of God:
            You are clothed with honor and majesty,
            Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
            Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
            He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters,
            Who makes the clouds His chariot,
            Who walks on the wings of the wind,
            Who makes His angels spirits,
            His ministers a flame of fire. (:1-4) (Deeds of God explained in v5 - 32)
            O Lord, how manifold are Your works!
            In wisdom You have made them all.
            The earth is full of Your possessions— (:24)

A good decision:
            I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
            I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
            May my meditation be sweet to Him;
            I will be glad in the Lord. (:33, 34)
